SAFTEY: Our #1 concern is and will always be SAFTEY! We cannot promise what we cannot control but what we do promise is that we have done everything possible to make this trip as safe as possible. We have long standing relationship with the missionaries we are partnering with and they are extremely organized, safe and professional. That being said, there is ALWAYS an inherent risk when traveling to another country. We believe that the risk with The Dominican Republic is no greater than any other cross cultural missions trip.
Page 3 Payment: We understand that the cost of the trip is often the biggest factor in determining a students ability to attend. Each student must turn in money by the dates on the payment schedule. Each date is in place to ensure the student is able to make their financial goals because the church is purchasing their airfare and trip on good faith that they will complete their payment. Please note the payment schedule dates on the next page and know that every student must have their full balance in by one week prior to the trip (Sunday March 25)
TESTIMONY: Each student must write out their brief testimony of how they came to trust in Christ for their salvation and why they would like to go on this trip. We are all in process in our faith and we dont want students to fake anything but because we are sharing the message of Christ and representing Christ we must send a team of people who have a relationship with the God they represent.
Pre-Trip Meetings ATTENDANCE:
1.In order to go on the trip every student must consistently attend an HM program or NCR Celebration Services. We minister as a community and want students to build relationships with the students and staff they will be ministering with. We also want students to remain a part of the ministry after the trip so this isnt an isolated experience for them.
2.Students must attend each trip prep meeting. There are only a few of them but each will be vital to being prepared to go on this trip. Plan accordingly and do not assume we will make exceptions, contact us if time conflicts arise. Dates of these will be handed out to students upon registration.
HEALTH: Students must be physically and emotionally healthy enough to travel with a group of people in a more than usually stressful environment. It is vital that students and parents disclose any medical issues that could be a factor on their medical release form. (forms are kept private). Safety is our #1 concern and we reserve the right to ask a student not to attend for any reason that would unnecessarily jeopardize themselves or the other members of this trip.
CONTRACT: We want each and every student to be fully aware of what they are choosing into. We are going to ask each student and their parent/guardian to sign a statement on the application they turn in that acknowledges the financial and spiritual responsibility they are undertaking.

Blank02 SAMPLE SUPPORT LETTER:
(make it personal and make it your own)
Dear, (Insert Name of Friend or Relative)
Im writing you this letter because March 31-April 7 of 2012 I have a unique opportunity to serve in Santiago, Dominican Republic with the high school ministry at my church. This is hardly a vacation but is a trip Im really looking forward to going on. I along with the other people that are going will be serving alongside churches in Santiago through building homes, putting on kids carnivals and community events. I wanted to let you know about his trip and give you a chance to partner with me.
The first way you can help is by praying for me and the team that is going. You can also pray for all that we will be doing. My purpose in going is to serve others and I ask that you pray that my heart will be ready to do that when I leave. The other way you can help is by supporting me financially. The total cost of the trip for me is $950. I have been saving money and working to raise it on my own and my cost for the trip goes completely to food and air transportation for myself. Even in tough times we have more than the people we are going to serve and one way I can serve them is by paying for my food and transportation.
I feel like this will be a huge opportunity for me to serve and grow, but the cost is something that I must humbly ask for help to cover. If you would like to help by sending any amount, Please send it in the form of a check made out to Neighborhood Church Redding with my name and Domincan 2012 in the memo line. Sent to Neighborhood Church at 777 Loma Vista Dr. Redding, Ca 96002.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter and investing in my life.
Sincerely, (Your Name)
